hey I'm back!

last night, i went to a concert in a tiny village, called Froville. the group that was playing, is apparently quite famous. I'm not sure if you guys know the main artist, but he is called Jordi Savall. his group plays very old music, from, like, the middle ages, with very old instruments, that no one really plays anymore. it was a pretty cool concert, that ended late. at around 11:45 to be specific, and i got back to the goat farm at 1:30.

today, I'm going to Gabriel's party. I'm going to give him a big lolly-pop, from the candy factory i visited, and a yellow T-shirt with CANADA printed on it with white letters. I'm excited.

I'm also excited for another reason...
My brother and my mother are coming today (my father couldn't book a ticket for him self, on the same airplane, so he is coming tomorrow). i can't wait!

bye!

here is kjeld

hey! I'm back again!

yesterday was a pretty cool day. the whole class went on a field trip to a pony ranch, for the whole day! before i was scared off horses, not anymore.

here's what did:
we arrived at the ranch, and we split up into groups of 3. then, each group was assigned a horse. ours was called Gabes (pronounced Gab-ess). then we all went into a room and got a helmet and two brushes per group. 1 brush to groom the mane, and the other to groom the rest. we groomed the horse, and then fitted it with a saddle. then we left the stable and got into groups of 7. our group was selected to get on the horses and go for a little walk. after the walk, we switched to an activity where we sat on a horse and performed tricks (like doing a 360 degree spin, and going on my knees on the back of the horse, and letting go), while the horse walked, and trotted i circles. then t started to gallop in circles, and then we could get off. after that activity,we had to guide a pony-pulled cart through a course. then, we all had lunch. after, we got on horses, and guided them through another course. then we got a lesson from the assistant teacher about horses, and what they eat, and the names of some of the body parts, etc. then, the group of 7 split up into pairs, with one remainder, and chose a horse. one person got on the back of the horse, and the other person guided the horse. there were some poles with loose things on top, that the person on the back of the horse had to grab and put on another pole, without steering. that's where the guider comes in. after that, we all pilled in the bus, and went home.

here are the pictures...

today i went for a walk, with my grandparents, around la seine. we crossed the river and took a look at the notre dame. it was pretty big. we didn't go inside, because the line-ups where quite big. then, we looked across the river and saw the top of la tour eiffel. here are some pics...

here are some pictures of the museum.

this one here has bones from every type of invertebrate.^

there's:

a fish (fish)
a bird(birds)
a lizard(reptiles)
a mouse(mammals)
a frog(amphibians)
heeeeeeeey

So...

After 3 weeks of school, i have taken a small vacation with my grand parents, to paris! Today i went to a small zoo, filled with a bunch of endangered animals. that was interesting, becausef i didn't know half of the animals there. then, i visited an old museum called the museum of paleontology and comparative anatomy. it was full of skeletons of modern day animals, and ancient animals (like dinosaurs and ice age creatures), and glass tubs filled with formaldehyde and old brains, hearts, livers, and baby animals with birth defects (like a cyclops pig). oh, remember my concours d'art oratoire? i saw some of the fossils that i talked about in it. i think that was pretty kool.
i am going to upload pictures in the next blog update that i post, because now i have forgotten how.

I'll try to remember.
bye!

hey it's toby.

unfortunately, i haven't been able to use a computer, so i will have to make a quick review. i will also give details of what the school is like.

i have had two weeks of school, and i am starting on my third. school is fairly easy, and the French here is easy to follow. I go each morning with Kjelt to the school, which is a small 3 room school, where all the children of all different ages are put together in 1 room.
I will try to get some pictures of the school, and of my new friends.

During my days off of school, i have been working on a tree fort with kjelt, and visiting some museums, like on the saturday and sunday that just passed, i visited a candy factory :), and a old world war 1 military base, which was kool.
i will try to upload the pictures onto the computer.

tomorrow i will try my best to write some more.
Bye for now!
toby.
